Participants will be expected to begin the course once registration is processed and an email has been received from the instructor with instructions on how to get started.

All assignments, discussions, and final project work are due at the end of the 4-week course to receive credit for the course.

Course Description:

This course invites educators to engage deeply with Principles to Action: Ensuring Mathematical Success for All, focusing on the effective teaching practices outlined by the National Council of Teachers of Mathematics (NCTM). Through structured reflection, collaborative discussions, and classroom-based application, participants will explore the core Mathematics Teaching Practices and Essential Elements that promote equitable, meaningful, and rigorous mathematics instruction. Each module is grounded in real classroom scenarios, thought-provoking questions, and practical strategies that support student thinking, reasoning, and engagement. By the end of the course, participants will develop actionable steps to strengthen their instructional practice and foster mathematical success for all learners.

Analyze and apply the eight Mathematics Teaching Practices
Reflect on classroom examples to inform instructional decision-making
Develop strategies for supporting access, equity, and professionalism in mathematics education
Create a personalized action plan for improving classroom instruction
