Free Write is a creative space for educators to connect, generate ideas, and share inspiration through writing. Whether you already enjoy writing or have a rocky relationship with writing, you are invited to join us for one, some, or all of the Free Write sessions!
Once a month on Sunday afternoons we will get together to:
- Explore themes relevant to our lives and work as educators through a community writing process
- Examine a variety of writing forms and examples to prompt our own thinking/writing
- Engage in writing, reading aloud, discussion, and storytelling together
- Exchange ideas and encouragement
- Emerge with insights to feed our teacher spirit and refresh our practice--imagining how we might apply lessons from this community writing experience to our own culturally and linguistically diverse learning communities
