2026 Fall MTA PDP Program

MTA’s Division of Training & Professional Learning is offering 12 free online courses this fall, each worth 15 PDPs. Most courses are led by your fellow MTA members, teaching from their own classrooms and practice.

Choose from asynchronous or Zoom courses in Special Education, English Language Learners, Curriculum & Instruction, Safe & Supportive Learning Environments, English Language Arts/Literacy, Instructional Technology/Digital Literacy, Leadership/Administration and Science.

*These courses do not qualify you to receive the SEI Endorsement.

*We’re not offering these courses for graduate credit at this time.

*Sessions are available on a first come, first serve basis. Waitlists are available for full sessions. 

*Registrants can only participate in 1 program offering.

*PDP courses are offered to MTA Members only. Courses are free.

*Courses are not recorded for on-demand use. 

Additional Information

Certificates of Participation will be issued for all participants and can be used to apply workshops toward Professional Development Points (PDPs) requirements. Educators with a Professional License must earn at least 150 PDPs in every five-year renewal cycle, split among the following categories:

  • Content for each License (15 PDPs)
  • Pedagogy for each License (15 PDPs)
  • ESL/SEI (15 PDPs)
  • Special Education (15 PDPs)
  • Elective (90 PDPs)

Teachers holding a professional license may “bundle” the PDPs earned from workshops that they participated in as long as:

  • The content of the workshops covers the same or similar topics.
  • The PDPs add up to a minimum of 10 (1 content hour = 1 PDP). (Ex: attend three 3-hour workshops & read one journal article focused on SEI/ELL)
  • The MTA recommends using an activity log that clearly identifies the topic and activities included in the “bundle”.
  • Keep all supporting documentation together and save it in case of an audit.
