ACCESSIBILITY AND PHYSICALITY
While walking will be spread out throughout the day, it is essential for each traveler to be able to comfortably walk 2-3 miles per day. In addition, some sites may only be partly accessible or inaccessible for those with limited mobility. Cobblestone roads, uneven terrain and steep stairs are a common occurrence. If you have mobility issues, you must travel with someone who is physically able to assist you and they will also need to register for the trip. Group leaders, tour guides and drivers are unable to assist passengers with mobility issues. Please note, wheelchairs and scooters cannot be accommodated on this tour.

Wednesday, December 6, 2028: USA to Munich, Germany
Optional overnight group flight. Dinner and breakfast served on board.
Thursday, December 7: Arrival in Munich
Arrival at the Munich airport (MUC). Transfer to the hotel as a group, based on the group flight.
Enjoy a welcome dinner at a local restaurant. (D)
Friday, December 8: Munich
This morning, enjoy a walking tour of Munich and discover the city’s deep Bavarian heritage, iconic royal architecture, World War II history, and world-famous beer culture. See highlights such as the central square of Marienplatz, Munich Residenz, and the main churches of the city center. After the tour, we will celebrate Mass.
The afternoon is free for lunch on your own and to explore the Christmas Markets of Munich at your leisure.

Saturday, December 9: Cruise - Embarkation in Nuremberg
Enjoy a leisurely start to the day. Then depart to Nuremberg for embarkation.
Board the elegant AmaMora for your Christmas Market cruise.

Sunday, December 10: Cruise - Nuremberg
Roam Nuremberg’s cobbled streets, savor festive flavors, and soak in the magic of its storied Christmas markets.
Explore Nuremberg’s WWII highlights before wandering the cobblestone streets to the Imperial Castle and 900-year-old city ramparts. Visit the famous Christkindlesmarkt, one of the world’s largest Christmas Markets, or spend the morning fully immersed in its festive atmosphere.
Food lovers can sample Nuremberg sausages and beer at the City Brewery and sweet lebkuchen at Sebalder Kirche before crossing the Continental Divide on the Main-Danube Canal. (B,L,D)
Monday, December 11: Cruise - Regensburg
Stroll Regensburg’s medieval streets, savor Bavarian flavors, and bask in the glow of its enchanting Christmas markets.
Discover Regensburg, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and one of Germany’s best-preserved medieval cities, on a guided walking tour of its architectural highlights, including the Old Town Hall and Porta Praetoria. Visit the Old Town Christmas Market, sample Bavarian specialties, or bike to the neoclassical Walhalla temple. At Thurn and Taxis Christmas Markets, watch local artisans at work. (B,L,D)
Tuesday, December 12: Cruise - Passau, Germany and Salzburg, Austria
Roam Passau’s historic streets or savor the magic of Salzburg.
Explore Passau on a walking tour of its 2,000-year-old streets, Gothic and Baroque architecture, and St. Stephen’s Church, followed by a visit to the festive Christmas Market.
For more adventure, bike along the Danube, or take a full-day voyage through the Austrian Alps to Salzburg and explore its UNESCO-listed Old Town, grand cathedral, and holiday markets. (B,L,D)
Wednesday, December 13: Cruise - Private Excursion to Melk Abbey
Perched on a rocky outcrop, Melk Abbey is one of Europe’s most celebrated Baroque monasteries. Our group will enjoy a private Mass at the Benedictine Abbey. (When excursions become available, please sign up for the Melk Abbey Visit.) Wander its storied halls, historic museum and renowned library.
Later, explore the Rathaus Christmas Market in Vienna at night. (B,L,D)
Thursday, December 14: Cruise - Vienna
Explore Vienna’s imperial splendors and festive markets, where music, history, and holiday magic intertwine.
Discover the magic of Vienna, the “City of Waltzes,” on a tour of its regal landmarks, which includes the Opera House and former Imperial Palace. Visit the city’s iconic and festive Christmas Markets. Adventurous passengers can enjoy a guided bike ride along the Danube, followed by a visit to Schönbrunn Palace Christmas Market. (B,L,D)
Friday, December 15: Cruise - Budapest
Enjoy the best of Budapest, from Castle Hill’s fairytale turrets to the glittering Christmas markets along the Danube.
Explore both the Buda and Pest sides of Budapest, starting in the Castle District to admire Fisherman’s Bastion, Matthias Church, and panoramic city views. Visit the festive Christmas Markets or hike up Castle Hill for a more active experience. In the afternoon, discover Pest’s highlights, including the Hungarian Parliament Building, Heroes’ Square, and the poignant “Shoes on the Danube Bank” memorial. (B,L,D)
Saturday, December 16: Cruise - Disembarkation in Budapest, Departure
Disembark the ship this morning. Transfer to the Budapest airport (BUD) for your departure home, based on the group flight. (B)
