About the Celebration

Each year, the AAMC recognizes and celebrates members of the academic medicine community who make significant advances in medical education, cutting-edge patient care, groundbreaking research, and outstanding community engagement.

Join us on Wednesday, October 22 from 4:00 - 5:15 PM Eastern Time, as we host our virtual awards celebration, honoring our colleagues and their achievements. We hope you will join us for our distinguished online experience for all to enjoy!

Musical Performances

This year’s celebration will also include musical performances by the Longwood Symphony Orchestra and include a special string trio performance by Lisa Wong, MD, a pediatrician and Harvard Medical School professor, and current Harvard Medical School students Stacie Lin and Grant Riew.

Since its founding in 1982, the Longwood Symphony Orchestra has united the healing arts of music and medicine. Nationally recognized for its exceptional musicianship and innovative programming, the orchestra is composed largely of volunteer health care professionals from Boston’s top hospitals and universities.

Dr. Wong is a pediatrician, musician, and author dedicated to the healing arts of music and medicine. She is the associate co-director of the Arts and Humanities Initiative and an assistant professor of pediatrics at Harvard Medical School, as well as past president and a current member of the Longwood Symphony Orchestra.
