What is the ISASI Annual Training Seminar?

• ISASI is the only organization specifically created for the air safety investigator and/or the aircraft accident prevention professional. Our motto is “Air Safety Through Investigation.”
• The ISASI Annual Training Seminar is the premier event for aviation safety professionals and air accident investigators throughout the world. The event features relevant and meaningful presentations, given by speakers who are experts in their field.
• The Annual Training Seminar hosts a full day of safety-oriented tutorials and three days of multi-faceted presentations by internationally renowned experts, all designed to provide training opportunities to the investigation community.
• The annual membership meeting is also held at each seminar to update attendees on the status of the society.

About the 2026 Seminar

• This will be an “in-person” training event. Optional tutorials begin on Monday, September 28th. General plenary sessions begin on Tuesday, September 29th through Thursday, October 1st. An optional tour will be held on Friday, October 2nd.
• The theme for ISASI 2026 is “Charting the Course of Aviation Safety.” Boston, a city steeped in history and shaped by its enduring connection to the sea, has long been a place where navigation, exploration, and innovation converge. From its legacy as a vital maritime hub to its leadership in technology, research, and aviation, Boston provides a fitting backdrop for advancing the mission of aviation safety.
• As we gather in this historic and forward-looking city, we look toward the future: charting a course where resilience in the face of evolving challenges meets innovation to strengthen safety in aviation and beyond. How do we build resilient safety systems that can withstand emerging threats? What innovations will shape the future of accident investigation? How can we leverage new technologies while maintaining the highest safety standards?
• Seminar presentations will be broad and will span training, case studies and lessons learned, operations, human factors, cabin safety, material failure, creative processes of examination, new investigative techniques, maintenance, physiological factors, and other subjects.
• Lastly, presentations may exemplify either positive or negative outcomes, as both serve to make ISASI members better stewards of aviation investigative processes.

Sessions for Companions & Guests

• A program of events will be offered for delegate Companions on Tuesday and Wednesday, and can be registered for by using the Companion Registration option.
• All attendees are welcome to register for the optional Friday tour. Specific details of these programs and tours can be found by clicking the "Companions & Tours" link at top of screen.
• Guests who do not wish to attend the Seminar or Companion Program are not eligible to attend any social functions and are not provided access to breakfast, lunch, or dinner offerings. However, they may register to attend the social events buy purchasing admission to one or both.

The group rate is: 199 USD/night for single  or occupancy.

NOTE: There are limited rooms available at this rate for each night, so please book early.

• The deadline for the ISASI group rate is September 4th, 2026. After that there is no guarantee the seminar rate will be available.

• The dress code for ISASI Seminars, Tutorials, and Social Events is Business Casual.
