AdelFest: The Tabletop
Putting Your Event Plans & Crisis Response to the Test
Monday, November 9, 2026 | 10:00 AM - 3:30 PM
event SUMMARY
What happens when a high-profile, high-stakes event encounters unexpected adversity? Find out at MPI CT's Annual Half-Day Education Program!
Back by popular demand, industry authority Steve Adelman will lead AdelFest – The Tabletop, an interactive stress test designed to challenge your event plans, risk mitigation strategies, and critical decision-making under pressure.
Set against the scenario of AdelFest—the lavish, end-of-year gala hosted by Connecticut’s own Adelman Law Group—you’ll step into the shoes of the event planner as dynamic, real-time challenges unfold. Together, we'll put our collective event knowledge to the test and learn how to navigate crisis with poise, professionalism, and precision.

Steven A. Adelman is the head of Adelman Law Group, PLLC in Norwalk, CT and Director of Event Safety for the International Festivals and Events Association. Previously, he was a founder and leader of the Event Safety Alliance.
Mr. Adelman led the groups that created the American National Standards for Crowd Management, Event Security, and Parade Safety. He has been retained as an event safety expert in many lawsuits, including cases arising from the Indiana State Fair stage roof collapse, the Route 91 Harvest Festival shooting in Las Vegas, and the Astroworld festival crowd crush in Houston.
In his free time, Steve Adelman produces the “Reasonably Safe” video discussions available on Youtube.
