The Consolidated Appropriations Act of 2023 enacted a new one-time, eight-hour training requirement for all Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA)-registered practitioners on the treatment and management of patients with opioid or other substance use disorders.

Join Pennsylvania College of Optometry at Drexel University for this asynchronous training that can be taken conveniently at your leisure. This course is COPE accredited for 8 Asynchronous Continuing Education credits.

A certificate of completion will also be provided. Note: Practitioners will be required to check a box on their online DEA registration form affirming that they have completed the new training requirement by the practitioner’s next scheduled DEA registration submission.

Opioid Epidemic with Dr. Tracy Offerdahl and Dr. Greg Caldwell - 2.5 Hours

Session 2:

Practices of Prescribing Opioid Choices Part 1 with Dr. Tracy Offerdahl and Dr. Greg Caldwell - 2 Hours

Practices of Prescribing Opioids and Alternatives Part 2 with Dr. Tracy Offerdahl and Dr. Greg Caldwell - 2 Hours
