Electric Utility Fundamentals & Insights (In-Person)
Course Overview
This course offers a fresh and interactive platform that helps attendees understand the electric utility industry and their roles within it. Participants learn about critical energy issues and the interplay between utilities and stakeholders. EUFI courses are available as open courses and through some WEI member companies. The course consists of seven modules: (1) Fundamentals of Electricity, (2) Generation Choices, (3) Transmission + Electricity Markets, (4) Distributed Energy Resources, (5) Electric Utility Customers, (6) Emerging Issues, and (7) How Utilities Make Money. Modules 1-6 are held in person at the SCPPA Training Center in Glendora or virtually over two days. Module 7 is delivered virtually after completion of the first six modules.

Individuals who are new to the energy field, looking for a broader perspective of the business of electricity and emerging issues and those who want to professionally grow in the utility industry.
