WACE EVENT POLICIES

By registering for a WACE Event, you acknowledge that you accept these policies and agree to abide by them. Failure to abide by these rules at any time will result in your removal from the event without refund.

 

ACADEMY CLASS ATTENDANCE POLICY

Participants are expected to attend the full three-hours of each class. 

  • Missing more than five (5) minutes of an one class will require the completion of an "extra assignment" to receive credit. Assignments are determined by the class faculty member and the Academy Steering Committee.
  • Missing more than one hour of any class will require retaking the class to receive credit.

 

ACADEMY GRADUATION POLICIES

Successful completion of three years of Academy curriculum; must be completed within five years of beginning the program. Additionally, participants must satisfy the following requirements in order to be eligible for recognition as an Academy Graduate.

  • After attending the First Year of Academy, participants must attend (as a full three-day delegate) two of the next three WACE Annual Conferences.
  • Participants are responsible to earn 10 additional credits and to track and provide documentation of attendance/participation. Credits can be earned as follows:
    • WACE Webinars (1 credit each). Maximum of 6 credits.
    • Regional or other state/national Chamber Executive Conferences (2 credits each)
    • Other conferences or training programs that are relevant to the participant's current job responsibilities and/or to advancing the participant's professional Chamber career. These options must be pre-approved by the Academy Steering Committee (1-2 credits each).

 

CANCELLATION POLICY

Cancellations must be made in writing and sent to Glenn@WACEMail.com by the dates published on the registration portal in order to be acknowledged. Registration fees charged for the Event and any optional activities may be refunded, minus an administrative processing fee as indicated on the portal.

  • WACE Event fees are fully refundable should the event have to be rescheduled, moved to another county or state, or cancelled due to uncontrollable circumstances.
  • Cancellations received after the posted deadlines will be reviewed on a case by case basis; any refunds are at the sole discretion of the WACE. 
  • Refunds will not be processed until after the program concludes and registration/attendance rosters have been reviewed.

 

FORCE MAJEURE

If WACE is prevented from carrying out its obligations as it pertains to the Event as a result of any cause beyond its control, or the Event cannot be conducted because of acts of God, strikes, labor disputes, government restrictions due to war or apparent acts of war, terrorism, disaster, civil disorder, epidemic or pandemic, curtailment or restriction on transportation facilities, or any other comparable calamity, casualty or condition (collectively a "Force Majeure"), WACE shall have the right to cancel, move, or reschedule the Event to a different date, location, or online at WACE's sole discretion.

 

MEMBERSHIP BENEFITS & RATES

WACE offers unique rates and special benefits associated with the Event to its various membership groups. These benefits may include discounted registrations, special Member-only pricing, or access to Member-only programs.

  • By registering for the Event, you affirm that you have represented yourself properly in terms of your membership status and/or Tier.
  • WACE reserves the right to audit Event registrations in order to ensure each      attendee is associated with a Chamber or other organization in good standing at the specified membership level, is current with their membership dues where appropriate, is being charged the correct rate and/or is accessing the correct benefits. In the event that a registration is incorrectly priced or accessed, WACE will make the appropriate adjustment and communicate that adjustment to the impacted organization.  The impacted attendee(s) agree to pay any necessary adjustments in order to participate in the Event.

 

OPTIONAL ACTIVITIES AND EVENTS

WACE may partner with strategic partners and third-party businesses to offer optional programming adjacent to the Event. WACE does not have control over the content or delivery of these programs.  Individuals participating in these extra programs agree to address any concerns about these sessions directly with the venue or presenting organization involved.

 

PHOTO RELEASE

WACE will take photographs during the Event both in formal settings and in casual environments (candid photos during sessions, socials, or public areas of the Event).

  • Photos taken during the Event are the property of WACE and may be used for internal and public communication purposes (e.g. newsletters, website, marketing materials, etc.)
  • By registering and participating in the Event, you acknowledge that you understand this policy and agree to the use of your image for internal and      public WACE use without compensation or restriction.
  • Individuals wishing to opt out of this policy should communicate directly with Glenn      Morris (Glenn@WACEMail.com).

 

PRIVACY

WACE may collect and process the following Personal Data:

  • Contact Information, which you provide when corresponding with us by phone, email or otherwise. The information you give us may include your name, address, email address and/or phone number.
  • Financial Information, such as credit/debit card and account numbers used to process your Event registration payment.
  • WACE uses your Personal Data to (a) deliver the services and support or carry out the transactions you have requested; (b) send communications to you, such as your transaction status (for example, Event confirmations), information about Event activities and Event materials; or (c) otherwise, as disclosed to you at the point of collection.
  • WACE will disclose your Contact Information to other Event attendees, Event instructors, and Event Committee members. In addition, WACE will share your Personal Data with third parties needed to carry out the transactions you request. Finally, WACE may disclose your Personal Data when legally required to do so or to protect our rights.
  • By registering and participating in this event, you acknowledge that you have read and agree to these policies. WACE expects that attendees, instructors and steering committee members will fully abide by the obligations outlined in these documents while attending or participating in the WACE Event.

 

PROHIBITIVE CONDUCT

Participants acknowledge and agree that WACE reserves the right to remove individuals from the Event if WACE, in its sole discretion, determines that their continued participation or behavior creates a disruption or hinders the Event or the enjoyment of the Event content by other attendees.

Friday, July 18, 2025, or when max capacity is reached, whichever is first.

 

SUBSTITUTION POLICY.

Substitutions for existing registrations are allowed until July 18, 2025. After this date, no substitutions are allowed.

 

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

HOW DO I DOWNLOAD THE W.A.C.E. EVENT MOBILE APP?

The Event Attendee Hub app will be an important tool leading up to and during the Event. Schedule details, updates, and other communications will be sent via the App. Details about downloading and accessing the app will be sent to registered attendees approximately one week prior to the Event. 

 

CAN MY SPOUSE OR GUEST ATTEND THE MONDAY EVENING SOCIAL?

Yes. If you would like to bring one or more guests to this event, please contact Glenn@WACEMail.com. The fee for this event will be $100.

 

WHAT IS THE SUGGESTED EVENT ATTIRE?

Business casual attire is requested at all Event events and sessions. We advise wearing layers as the temperature in the meeting rooms may vary.

 

WHAT METHODS OF PAYMENT DOES W.A.C.E. ACCEPT?

W.A.C.E. accepts checks, Visa, and MasterCard.

HOW DO I DETERMINE MY CHAMBER'S MEMBERSHIP STATUS?

In order to take advantage of membership rates and other member benefits, your Chamber must be a member in good standing. Additionally, it is important that you register using the link associated with your membership tier level.
