Summary

A 45 minute e-Learning course covering the Provision and Use of Work Equipment Regulations (PUWER).

This course has been updated to cover the changes in legislation due to the UK leaving the EU.

TÜV Rheinland has pooled its extensive knowledge and produced a 45 minute awareness e-Learning course, to provide an understanding of the Provision and Use of Work Equipment Regulations (PUWER). Working through any legislation can be daunting but TÜV Rheinland follows a simple hierarchy, which allows the important messages to be understood and applied.

There are few specific legal requirements relating to mechanical engineering practices. However, the requirements of the Health & Safety at Work Act, the Supply of Machinery (Safety) Regulations and PUWER mean that the hazards associated with operating and maintaining machinery plus work equipment must be identified and, systems such as training, supervision, information and instructions introduced to mitigate the hazards.
