Certification Exam - 2025 Montana Summer BOC Level I in Butte. Online registration by Cvent

At the completion of this training and upon issuance of your Training Certificate of Completion (TCOC), you will be eligible to sit for the Building Operator Certification exam. After your TCOC is awarded, we will email you directions for registering to take the exam.

EXAM LOCATION & DATE - For most courses, the exam will be offered online by a remote proctor at your convenience, or in-person at a scheduled time at a physical testing center. If your exam is provided at a specific site, date and time, we will notify you early in the course.

The BOC Certification Exam is an open book exam. Candidates are responsible for their open book resources. Hard copy versions of BOC Course Handbooks and BOC Exam Resource Guides are allowed. Printed or handwritten notes prepared by the candidate are also allowed. Please read the full BOC Certification Exam Open Book Policy on page 14 of the BOC Certification Candidate Handbook for full details on permitted and prohibited materials and exam conduct and procedures.

Please note that candidates are allowed 3 hours to complete the 120-question exam and must use their own discretion on which permitted open book resources they would like to prioritize utilizing during the allotted exam time.

BOC Certification Process:
1. Enroll and complete BOC Level I Course
2. Complete eligibility application for TCOC and exam (will be handed out in class)
3. Received Training Certificate of Completion for the training program
4. Receive instructions to register for exam
5. Register for exam
6. Take and pass the exam
7. Receive BOC Certification
