The SUNY Undergraduate Research Conference (SURC) is a multidisciplinary spring semester event. The next SURC will be held on Tuesday, April 21, 2026 at SUNY Fredonia and on Friday, April 24, 2026 at SUNY Upstate Medical University.
SURC brings together undergraduate students and faculty mentors from across the SUNY system for a full day of activities, including sessions devoted to student presentations (oral, performance, artistic displays, and poster), luncheon, keynote speakers, a Transfer, Graduate School, and Career Fair, and professional development workshops for students and faculty. SURC is supported by the Offices of the Chancellor, Provost, and Research Foundation, as well as SUNY student and faculty governance organizations.

Registration Fees

SUNY/CUNY Student: $30
SUNY/CUNY Faculty/Mentor: $60

Non-SUNY Student: $60

Registration at both sites is limited and will be accepted on a first come, first served basis.
Student registration is for undergraduate students who will be attending SURC. The same fee applies to presenters and non-presenters. This fee covers admission, lunch, and refreshments.
Faculty/Mentor registration is for faculty advisors, mentors and other campus staff who are attending SURC in support of their students. This fee covers admission, lunch, and refreshments.
Guests is for parents and other allies of student presenters. This fee covers admission, but does not include lunch or any refreshments. Guests will be welcome to purchase food and snacks from on-campus vendors, if they wish.
As SURC is supported by campus and system resources, students, faculty, and recruiters from outside of SUNY and CUNY must follow the “Non-SUNY/CUNY” rates, and (aside of “Guest” registrants) it covers admission, lunch, and refreshments.

Transfer, Graduate School, and Career Fair registration covers the cost of a table, two representatives and refreshments at the Transfer, Graduate School and Career Fair.
