Erica Keays is a NY approved ​provider ​for ​continuing   ​education via the  National Certification Board for Therapeutic Massage  and Bodywork  (NCBTMB 1000262).  All NCBTMB credit for the class will  be awarded by Ms Keays.​
CEH’s  ​and will ​be ​granted ​only ​to ​those ​who ​register ​and ​attend  ​the  ​entire ​class. ​No ​partial ​credit ​can/will ​be ​awarded.  NYS credit will be issued by AMTA, NY #0009.

Class Description:
Treating Whiplash (8:00am to 12 noon) (4 CEH)
Students will demonstrate an understanding of the anatomical structures involved.  Students will show confidence in palpation and assessment of the neck.  Students will understand the contraindications and cautions of working with whiplash.  Students will demonstrate proficiency in addressing whiplash

Treating Plantar Fascitis (2:00-6:00pm) (4 CEH)
Students will understand the soft tissue structures involved in plantar fasciitis.  Students will understand how massage and stretching techniques can alleviate lower leg and foot pain.  Students will understand contraindications for treatment.  Students will demonstrate confidence in assessing and treating the condition. 

 -These are hands-on class, please bring your table, sheets and lubricant.

-Class size limited to 24. 

Please plan to arrive 15 minutes the first day to register and set up

We  welcome all NYS licensed massage therapists, NYS professionals who  are  licensed to provide massage (physicians, nurses, podiatrists,  physical  therapists, chiropractors) and currently enrolled massage  therapy  students to our classes. Per New York State law, you must  either have a  New York State license to participate in the hands-on  portions or, in  the case of massage therapy students, be directly  supervised by your  instructor or other licensed massage therapist.

Cancellation:

Cancellations ​of  ​more ​than ​14 ​days ​prior ​to ​a ​class ​are  ​eligible ​for ​a  ​refund minus a $75 administrative fee. ​Cancellations ​less ​than ​14  ​days  ​prior to the class are ​not ​refundable. ​No  ​shows ​are  ​not ​eligible ​for ​refund ​or ​use ​on ​future ​classes.   ​Cancellations ​are ​based ​on ​post ​mark ​or ​email ​date ​and ​all   ​cancellations ​must ​be ​in ​writing. ​Exceptions ​made ​only ​with   ​approval ​of ​the ​AMTA-NY ​Chapter ​Board ​of ​Directors. ​  

Parking:  
Parking is $5/day in the hotel lot. This lot is located kitty-corner across the street from the hotel and directly across the street from the lot labeled “Hotel Syracuse.”

Carpooling is strongly advised and early arrival, if you are driving in daily, may help ensure ease of parking.
