Summary - World Robotic Gynecology Congress X

This year marks the 10th Anniversary of the World Robotics Gynecology Congress (WRGC) X. This 10th edition represents not only an amalgamation of evolving techniques, outcomes and experience from some of the world’s most prolific robotic surgeons, but this year will bring innovative new formats to address topics such as deeply infiltrative endometriosis and advanced fibroid disease. Since its inception in 2009, WRGC has provided a haven for practicing surgeons to convene and exchange ideas to advance their knowledge and skills in the application of robotics in complex pelvic surgery. This year’s interactive congress will continue its emphasis on minimally edited video-based surgical tutorials delivered via actual de-identified cases presented as clinical vignettes covering the gamut of gynecologic procedures and pathology. Relevant clinical updates will be addressed throughout the congress while advancements in peri-operative medical management and cutting-edge complementary technology to enhance robotics are introduced.

Target Audience: Gynecologists who are incorporating robotics into their surgical practice

Upon conclusion of the activity, participants will be better able to:

Describe approaches to peri-operative optimization including proper interpretation of radiologic imaging.
Review and evaluate surgical techniques and principles to enhance the performance of complex gynecologic procedures that address the gamut of pathology.
Cite ways to avoid and manage complications through innovative technologies such as advanced energy use and improved ureteral identification.
Integrate complementary technologies to facilitate robot-assisted gynecologic surgery.
