We are delighted to invite you to our next Elumni Book Club session on Thursday 29 October 14.00 - 15.00 GMT. This is an online session.

Join Steve Mostyn, Associate Fellow at Oxford Saïd, who will be speaking with Robin Alfred BA (Oxon), PGCE, M.Phil (Cantab) whose book Emergent Leadership: Applied Mysticism for Complex Times.

Steve and Robin will discuss the book's approach to leadership, particularly in a world that is increasingly difficult to navigate and predict. Steve and Robin will also discuss the idea of leadership, particularly what does it mean to be a leader - moving away from the conventional thought that "leader" is merely a title or a skills set to something more profound.

Robin Alfred is an executive coach, organizational consultant, facilitator and mediator who has led many leadership development programs at Oxford Saïd. He has extensive experience of leading and developing groups and individuals across all sectors – corporate, public, and third sector. He loves to facilitate depth work, emergence and transformational fields.

Steve Mostyn is an experienced designer and director of senior executive education programmes. His expertise is in the concept of leadership as a narrative process; he has also been involved in innovation in executive education for a number of providers. Last year, his book Why Great Leaders Ask Great Questions: The 7 essential reflections for every aspiring leader was published.
