Lines for Life, in collaboration with the Oregon Health Authority and Jackson Care Connect, is thrilled to convene regional change agents at the Southern Oregon Regional OPAT Summit.
Building upon the vision of the statewide OPAT Conference, this regional summit aligns directly with the core priorities of the Oregon Alcohol and Drug Policy Commission (ADPC) Comprehensive Plan.
Key Topic Areas
- Primary Prevention: Reducing the prevalence of substance use disorders through community-driven prevention initiatives.
- Access to Care: Expanding substance use treatment, health and safety interventions, lifesaving strategies and recovery supports.
- Systems Integration & Equity: Reducing disparities by improving service coordination, expanding data sharing, and supporting collaborative planning across regions.
Agenda Focus & Approach
Our Southern Oregon schedule prioritizes prevention first, transitions to specialized care, and concludes with clinical and crisis interventions. We will explore integrated models of care, including a "Treatment Now" approach and MAUD/MOUD prescribing in combination with ongoing recovery supports.
Attendees will learn about innovative strategies being implemented by local providers—including La Clinica, Continuum Recovery, Rogue Community Health, Addictions Recovery Center, Jackson County Mental Health, and Mercy Flights. In addition to hearing from local experts, participants will engage in facilitated small and large group discussions aimed at identifying common regional barriers and developing practical, creative solutions.

BIGHAM KNOLL CAMPUS
525 Bigham Knoll Dr, Jacksonville, OR 97530
The Southern Oregon Regional OPAT Summit will be held at Bigham Knoll, a historic 7-acre campus at the end of E Street in Jacksonville. The site was once home to Jackson County School District #1, which bought the property in 1867 after the county's first public school outgrew its space. The district first used a two-room house on the land as a classroom, then built a two-story schoolhouse that was later expanded to fit every student in the district. The campus has since undergone a major renovation and is now a community center and event space.
