The RBC Convention Centre is the premier convention facility in Manitoba. Located in the centre of Winnipeg’s bustling downtown, the three-story, 264,000 sq ft multi-purpose facility has access to more than 2,300 downtown hotel rooms and is within walking distance to many of the city’s best restaurants, entertainment, and local attractions.The second-floor concourse connects to the climate-controlled skywalk leading to the Delta Winnipeg Hotel.
The Canadian Museum for Human Rights
As the world's first museum dedicated to human rights, the Canadian Museum for Human Rights is centered around the idea that respect and understanding of human rights can serve as a positive force for change in the world. Its mandate is to explore the subject of human rights, with special but not exclusive reference to Canada, in order to enhance the public's understanding of human rights, to promote respect for others, and to encourage reflection and dialogue. Every one of its exhibitions tells a unique story in the diverse world of human rights, including: Love in a Dangerous Time: Canada’s LGBT Purge and The Witness Blanket.
The Forks and the Oodena Celebration Circle
The Forks, Winnipeg’s foremost destination, was developed as a meeting place, through a mixed-use approach including residential, historical and cultural, institutional and supportive commercial uses, to become a special and distinct, all-season gathering and recreational place at the junction of the Red and Assiniboine Rivers.
Also known as Nestawaya in Cree, it has been a meeting place for over 6,000 years – located on the original lands of the Anishinaabe, Cree, Oji-Cree, Dakota and Lakota peoples and resides in the National Homeland of the Red River Métis. This place also has deep ties with Dene and Inuit peoples, operates with water from Shoal Lake 40 First Nation, and has welcomed people from all walks of life to trade, visit, and build community.
