COURSE OBJECTIVES

This certification course combines technical instruction and practical to prepare you for a successful career as a Fire and Smoke Damage Restoration Technician.

You’ll learn how to:

• Accurately estimate and price restoration projects through proper pre-inspections

• Develop practical approaches to job site management

• Differentiate between various types of fire and smoke damage

• Identify the appropriate safety measures and emergency services

• Apply the correct cleaning methods based on fire types

• Utilize odor neutralization and deodorization techniques to restore natural scents

• Apply cleaning and restoration fundamentals, including HVAC cleaning and ultrasonic techniques 

DETAILS

Upon passing the final exam with a score of 75% or higher, you will earn your Fire and Smoke Damage Restoration Technician certification, which also counts toward your Master Fire and Smoke Restorer designation.

This course qualifies for 14 IICRC continuing education credits (CEC).

CANCELLATION AND TRANSFER POLICIES

More Than 31 Days Before the Class Start Date

If you are unable to attend your scheduled class and notify us more than 31 days prior to the start date, you may choose one of the following options:

  • Transfer your seat to another individual within your organization, or
  • Reschedule to another class date of the same course or one of equivalent value.

Within 31 Days of the Class Start Date

  • If you are unable to attend and notify us within 31 days of the class start date, you may transfer your seat to another individual within your organization for the same scheduled date. No rescheduling or additional changes will be permitted due to contractual commitments with the training organization and instructor.

CLASS CANCELLATIONS BY ARAMSCO

Aramsco will make every reasonable effort to reschedule you for an alternative class based on your availability. A full refund will be issued only if Aramsco is unable to provide an alternative class or determines that extenuating circumstances warrant a refund.

TRAVEL PLAN POLICY

Aramsco is not responsible for any travel-related losses. We recommend purchasing refundable or flexible airline tickets to avoid potential issues.

STUDENT CODE OF CONDUCT

Students attending Aramsco/Safety Express hosted classes agree to adhere to the following code of conduct. Failure to adhere to the code may result in their removal from the class.

  • Payment for classes is required in full prior to class.
  • Students must use a device with a camera and microphone, along with a strong internet connection.
  • Students must participate from a static location that is quiet, free from disturbances, and allows for full concentration on the class instructor and content.
  • Departures from the class should be kept to a minimum.
  • Cameras must remain enabled, and the video communication technology window must remain active throughout the entire class.
  • The minimum contact time for each class requires students must participate for the entirety of the class to be eligible to take the exam. This is an IICRC regulation.
