This 3-day in-person APAC training course is kindly hosted by the Sri Lanka Accreditation Board for Conformity Assessment (SLAB) in Colombo, Sri Lanka.
The training course is about accreditation of IT-related management system certification using the following standards:
- ISO/IEC 27006-1:2024 Information security, cybersecurity and privacy protection — Requirements for bodies providing audit and certification of information security management systems (ISMS);
- ISO/IEC 20000-6:2017 Information technology — Service management - Part 6: Requirements for bodies providing audit and certification of service management systems (ITSMS); and
- ISO/IEC 42006:2025 Information technology — Artificial intelligence — Requirements for bodies providing audit and certification of artificial intelligence management systems (AIMS).
The course will also cover relevant IAF requirements, including IAF MD1, MD2, MD4, MD7, MD11, MD12, MD13, MD15, MD17, MD23, MD25, MD28, Global ACI-MRA-006 and any ISO/CASCO clarifications.
The facilitators will provide insights on how this type of accreditation is conducted. Participants will be encouraged to share their experiences and ask questions.
Attendees are expected to be APAC Member personnel (assessors, managers, accreditation scheme developers) that are either undertaking accreditation of IT-related management system certification or are considering developing these types of accreditation schemes.
The program aims to ensure that participants conclude the event with an enhanced understanding and deeper insight into the subject matter. Attendees will benefit from the exchange of experiences, ideas, and practical examples illustrating how various organizations are implementing this topic in their contexts. It is anticipated that participants will share and apply the knowledge gained within their own organizations, among colleagues, and with relevant stakeholders.
The training course will be followed by an APAC IT-related Evaluators Workshop on 18-19 November 2026 which will review relevant ISO/IEC 17011 requirements to ensure consistent APAC MRA evaluation activities for these management system sub-scopes. This 2-day workshop is only for APAC Evaluators recognised for IT-related management system sub-scopes (i.e. ISMS, ITSMS and AIMS). A separate registration to attend the 2-day workshop is necessary for eligible APAC IT-related evaluators.
There is no event registration fee and refreshments breaks and lunch will be provided free of charge on the days of the event. All travel, accommodation, other meals, per diems, visa fees, travel and health insurance costs, etc. must be paid directly by the attendees or by their accreditation bodies. APAC does not provide funding for attendees to attend this event.
