Join us in beautiful Tallahassee, Florida for a weekend to remember. The theme of our YSA Conference is “Abide with Me” and the purpose is to build testimonies, foster unity and joy, provide opportunities for personal growth, and encourage participation in God’s work of salvation and exaltation.

Sister Scherer is from University Place, WA. She graduated from BYU with a degree in Secondary Education and is a former high school history teacher. Sister Scherer has served as YW Presidency Counselor, RS Presidency Counselor, YW Camp Director, Youth Sunday School Teacher, Gospel Doctrine Teacher, Temple and Family History Consultant, Primary Music Leader.

They now reside in Windemere, FL and are the parents of 4 children —Isabella (on a mission in Seattle WA), Joshua, Brigham, and Hailey.

Lisa grew up in a Catholic family in St. Louis. At age 10, she began attending the Church with her mom and was baptized seven years later. While attending Ricks College, she met her husband, Rob, in a family home evening group, and the two later graduated together from BYU as a married couple.

After living in Ft. Lauderdale for several years, they eventually settled in Dacula, Georgia, where they raised their three children. Today, all of their children are married and have blessed them with four adorable grandchildren—with one more on the way.

Together, Lisa and Rob started, managed, and eventually sold (after more than 20 years) a gourmet food manufacturing company whose cookie mixes were sold around the world.

She has served in a variety of ward and stake callings and considers her nearly 10 years on the United States Southeast Area Communication Council to be the highlight of her church service. She is currently serving as a Relief Society teacher and truly loves it.

When she’s not spending time with her family, she enjoys cooking, traveling, reading, walking in the park, and shopping—in no particular order.
