RAFI is excited to invite you to our conference in Rocky Mount, North Carolina. Nestled in the heart of the state's picturesque coastal plain, the city offers visitors a charming blend of history, culture, and natural beauty. From its historic downtown district adorned with stunning architecture to its vibrant arts scene and outdoor recreational opportunities, Rocky Mount has something to captivate every visitor. Explore the fascinating exhibits at the Imperial Centre for the Arts and Sciences, housed in a beautifully restored tobacco warehouse, or take a stroll along the Tar River Trail to immerse yourself in the area's scenic landscapes.

The primary venue for this year’s conference will be Word Tabernacle Church’s The Impact Center. This multifaceted facility serves as a hub for various programs and services aimed at addressing critical social issues and fostering positive change. From providing educational resources and job training initiatives to offering counseling and support services for individuals and families in need, the Impact Center plays a vital role in enhancing the well-being and resilience of the local community. Through its collaborative efforts with government agencies, non-profit organizations, and volunteers, the Impact Center strives to tackle challenges such as poverty, unemployment, and homelessness, while also promoting personal growth and self-sufficiency.

The secondary host site is The Power House at Rocky Mount Mills. Originally built in the early 20th century to provide electricity for the thriving textile industry, the Powerhouse now serves as a dynamic centerpiece of the Rocky Mount Mills community. Renovated and repurposed with careful attention to preserving its historic character, the Power House hosts a blend of commercial and residential spaces, including offices, apartments, and event venues. Its iconic red brick exterior and towering smokestacks offer a glimpse into the area's industrial past, while its contemporary amenities and innovative design reflect the ongoing transformation of Rocky Mount Mills into a vibrant mixed-use destination. Visitors to the area can explore a diverse array of restaurants, breweries, and shops within walking distance.
