Facilitation has never mattered more as organisations rely on facilitators to build trust, guide change, drive meaningful inclusion and help groups reach better decisions. As a profession, we must continually adapt to new societal dynamics, embrace diversity and inclusion, new business practices, new technology and contribute to a sustainable world, whilst clearly articulating the value and power of good facilitation when organisations are under pressure.
#Facilitate2027 is being built to meet that challenge directly.
Over two days, we will come together in one inclusive space, not only for sessions on technique, but for honest conversations about business and change that facilitators rarely get the space to have. This is also space to explore how we are showing up for each other in the community and for those we work with to ensure diverse, often marginalised voices and perspectives are meaningfully integrated.
The programme is built around four themes, the 4 Cs of facilitation: Craft, Clarity, Change and Challenge. Together, they cover what it actually takes to be a complete and inclusive facilitator, not just a skilled one.
CRAFT
The foundations of the profession: skills, ethics, inclusion and the tools every facilitator relies on. Strengthen what you already do well, and learn what you don't know yet.
CLARITY
The impact, value, cost-benefit and human-benefit of facilitation. Build a strong offer, explain your value clearly, and learn to prove the difference you make, whether you work alone, in a team, or inside an organisation.
CHANGE
The evolution of facilitation and emerging practices for the future: Artificial intelligence, hybrid formats and new tools and ways of designing and facilitating are reshaping how we do things and the impact we can have. Explore what this means for facilitators today, in the years ahead, in a diverse world.
CHALLENGE
The most important sessions are rarely the easiest ones. Learn to stay steady through disagreement and uncertainty, hold difficult conversations well, practice solidarity and look after ourselves and each other while doing it. Facilitation also holds the potential to challenge injustice, and contribute to an inclusive sustainable world.
Four Cs. One complete facilitator.
