EVENT DETAILS

Organized by The Center for High Pressure Science & Technology Advanced Research (HPSTAR), Shanghai Advanced Research in Physical Sciences (SHARPS), the University of Hong Kong (HKU), Jilin University, Yanshan University, Sichuan University, University of Chinese Academy of Sciences, Southern University of Science and Technology, Hainan University, Nature, Nature Communications, Nature Physics, Nature Materials, Nature Geoscience, Communications Materials, Communications Chemistry, and Communications Earth and Environment.

The Nature Conference “Frontiers of High-Pressure Research – Science under Extreme Conditions” brings together the ever-growing community of scientists that generate extreme pressures and use an increasing range of probing techniques to investigate the properties of matter under extreme conditions. Investigation of the physical and chemical transformations of materials under static or dynamic pressure and varying temperatures offers insight into the fundamental properties of materials, their behaviour under planetary conditions, and the prospect of synthesizing materials with unusual combinations of properties. In this Nature Conference, researchers from across physics, chemistry, material science and geoscience – all with a common interest in high pressure research -will discuss the most recent advances in methodologies and research in their respective fields, with the aim of further developing new tools and ideas.
