The Gilbert Family Neurofibromatosis Institute, with the support of the Children’s Tumor Foundation, is hosting our annual family day to support children with neurofibromatosis type 1 (NF1) and their families. This event will provide the opportunity to interact with clinicians and researchers who work with children with NF.

Experts will discuss relevant topics including:

  • NF Neuropsychology Research Update
  • Plexiform neurofibromas: State of the science
  • Headaches in NF1
  • Pain and NF1
  • Genetic testing in NF1

Our keynote speaker, Pamela Wolters, PhD, Senior Associate Scientist at the National Cancer Institute, will share the latest research on assessing pain in individuals with neurofibromatosis type 1 (NF1).

To help make the day enjoyable for the whole family, an activity room will be available for younger children. Breakfast, lunch and complimentary parking passes will be provided.
