The Pew Charitable Trusts

Please join The Pew Charitable Trusts’ Philadelphia research and policy initiative (PRPI) for a virtual convening highlighting national experts and practitioners exploring public-private partnerships, through pro-bono support, aimed to help address complex policy issues across levels of local government, institutions, and communities.

Thursday, October 1st

12:00-1:00pm

Philadelphia’s business and civic sectors have a wide range of capabilities to offer the public sector. Health care systems and universities, law firms, management consultants, and others are often willing, sometimes eager, to make their assistance and expertise available on a pro-bono basis. And government and nonprofit agencies frequently see an opportunity to tap into that know-how to address specialized needs or long-term challenges. What’s been missing is the connective tissue to match and manage public sector needs with private sector expertise—and in turn strengthen public-private partnerships.

The Pew Charitable Trusts has been examining, testing, and researching peer city organizations and pro bono partnership operating models. During this convening, we will hear from experts who have leveraged cross-sector collaboration to strengthen civic capacity, advance strategic priorities, and drive measurable community impact. Please see below for details:
