BluePearl Scottsdale warmly invites you to join us for an evening of continuing education, networking, and discovery at Navigating the Currents: Internal Medicine at OdySea.

Our first presentation, Companion Animal Urinary Incontinence: Physiology, Congenital Anomalies, & Advanced Interventions, will be led by Elias Villarreal, DVM, Internal Medicine Resident. This session will provide a practical review of urinary continence disorders in dogs and cats, including normal micturition physiology, acquired conditions such as urethral sphincter mechanism incompetence (USMI) and detrusor atony, congenital anomalies, and advanced diagnostic and interventional treatment options. Referral-level case studies will help illustrate evidence-based approaches to diagnosis and management.

Next, Samantha Phillips, DVM, Residency-trained in Internal Medicine, will present Infectious Disease in Arizona: Old Companions and New Friends. This lecture will review both longstanding and emerging infectious diseases affecting pets in Arizona and surrounding regions, with discussion focused on transmission, diagnostics, risk factors, and current treatment recommendations.

In addition to the lectures, attendees will enjoy a complimentary dinner, free parking, and opportunities to connect with BluePearl specialists, emergency clinicians, and fellow veterinary professionals.

This program has been approved for 2 hours of continuing education credit in jurisdictions which recognize RACE approval. Please note that credits are available for veterinarians and veterinary technicians only.
