Guided dynamic navigation surgery

Course description

This boutique live-surgery program is designed for experienced clinicians seeking to expand their capabilities in advanced full-arch rehabilitation using pterygoid and traditional implants within a modern digital workflow. Led by Dr. Andres Biaggi, the course combines focused didactic sessions, hands-on training, and live surgical participation to provide practical insight into treatment planning, surgical execution, and prosthetic considerations for complex full-arch cases. Participants will be divided into two tracks. The surgical track (Texas-licensed clinicians with prior full-arch experience) includes one day of didactic training and hands-on exercises on plastic models utilizing guided navigation, followed by three days of live surgery. Participants will place one arch using pterygoid and traditional implants and assist a peer on an additional case, for exposure to three arches in total. The observer track (no Texas license required) will focus on didactic learning, surgical observation, and hands-on training on models using a guided system such as X-Guide system, providing a comprehensive understanding of workflow and technology without direct surgical participation. Throughout the program, emphasis will be placed on case selection, digital planning, intraoperative decision-making, and integration of technologies such as navigation, intraoral scanning, and photogrammetry into immediate loading workflows. The course also addresses the clinical, logistical, and team requirements necessary to safely implement advanced full-arch procedures in practice. This program is intended for clinicians with implant experience who want a practical, real-world understanding of incorporating pterygoid solutions alongside traditional implant approaches within a navigation-guided full-arch workflow.

Learning Objectives:

By the end of this course, participants will be able to:

 Clinical & Diagnostic

 • Understand the principles of dynamic navigation using the X-Nav system

 • Evaluate full-arch edentulous and terminal dentition cases for All-on-6 treatment

 • Interpret CBCT data for prosthetically driven implant planning

 • Identify anatomical landmarks and risk zones in full-arch surgery

 Digital Planning

 • Perform digital treatment planning within the X-Guide software

 • Design prosthetically driven All-on-6 implant positions

 • Understand stackable guide vs fully navigated workflows

 • Verify accuracy and calibration protocols

 Surgical Skills

 • Execute flap design and atraumatic extractions for full-arch cases

 • Perform osteotomy preparation using dynamic navigation

 • Place implants using X-Nav real-time guidance

 • Manage primary stability for immediate loading

 • Perform bone reduction when indicated

 Prosthetic Workflow

 • Understand multi-unit abutment selection and placement

 • Capture immediate conversion records

 • Coordinate with lab for provisional fabrication

 • Manage occlusion for same-day delivery

 Complications & Case Selection

 • Recognize and manage intraoperative deviations

 • Troubleshoot navigation errors

 • Identify cases that are not good All-on-6 candidates

 • Manage post-operative complications

Here you get surgical and restorative experience with the Mandible and Maxilla. Cost $26,000. (Tuition includes, hotel, 3x meals per day, and travel to course site from hotel).
