The Stanford King Center on Global Development is pleased to host the 2026 BREAD Conference on Development Economics.
This annual event brings together leading and emerging scholars to present their research on development economics. The conference will feature the following sessions:
- Friday, May 15 (8:00 AM–12:00 PM): 15-minute presentations of research at an early stage, reserved for non-tenured presenters
- Friday, May 15 (1:00 PM–5:00 PM) + Saturday, May 16 (8:00 AM–1:00 PM): Full-length and egg-timer presentations on research at an advanced stage
Registration has completely closed as of Wednesday, May 6, 2026.
Please note that there is a major concert on Stanford's campus during the conference, so plan to secure lodging as soon as possible.
