Summary - Molecular Magnetism in North America (MAGNA 2026)

The workshop brings together researchers in diverse fields including chemistry, physics and biology towards gaining an understanding molecular spin systems. Research focuses on magnetic molecules for quantum information science, electronic materials, catalytic processes, nuclear forensics, nuclear waste, excited-state processes and other important topics to expand scientific knowledge and solve outstanding technological challenges. These require an understanding of the role of vibrational modes, geometry, symmetry, quantum dynamics, magnetic couplings, magneto-electrical coupling, magneto-optical couplings, chiral spin selectivity, ODMR, the interface of magnetic molecules with nanotechnology, among others.
