Overview

As part of New York Climate Week 2026, Marsh will convene leaders and experts from across the insurance, risk, academic, public, and technology sectors for a timely discussion on climate resilience and the evolving risk landscape.

The program will explore how simultaneous changes in exposure and the frequency and severity of physical hazards are reshaping risk, and what the insurance industry can do to help businesses and communities become more resilient. Through two expert-led panel discussions, speakers will examine both the changing nature of climate risk and the solutions needed to respond—from catastrophe modeling and underwriting innovation to resilience investment, data, insurance design and public-private partnerships.

The conversation will focus on a central question: How can the insurance industry move from understanding climate risk to actively incentivizing and enabling systemic resilience?

Attendees will leave with perspectives on emerging risks, opportunities for innovation, and the role insurers, reinsurers, clients and the public sector can play in helping close the protection gap and build a more resilient future.
