How can assessment meaningfully capture what students learn through community-engaged experiences? This session explores strategies for aligning student learning objectives with assessment design in community-engaged teaching and learning courses. Participants will examine ways to map both disciplinary knowledge and professional skills, leverage reflective practice as evidence of learning, and use assessment approaches that connect theory, practice and community engagement.

Those new to engaged scholarship and those long-established are welcome.

This session is part of PACES' 2026-27 Lunch and Learn Series. Please save the date for future sessions on Oct. 14 and Nov. 10
