About Recertification
Certified professionals must recertify every 3 years by attending the Stormwater Inspection & Maintenance Update (recertification) workshop. There is NO exam associated with the Update workshops. To qualify for the RECERT "update" course to receive re-certification, certifications must be current or have expired within the last 2 years. Example: 12/31/22 expiration date has until 12/31/24 to recertify.
BEFORE YOU REGISTER: Please have your certificate number and expiration date ready when registering for an Update workshop as it is a required part of the registration process. If you do not know this information, please click on the List of Certified Professionals link below and use Ctrl+F to search for your information. Upon completion of the Update workshop, attendees will receive an updated inspector card, good for up to 3 years (the remaining portion of the year in which the workshop is taken, plus the following 2 years) and a certificate of attendance via email.
NOTE: The workshop and conference coordinators do not have the capacity to send notifications or emails when your certification is about to expire. Please be responsible and make the necessary reminders or other arrangements for yourself to keep your certification active. No concessions will be made for those who were not diligent in managing their own certification. We are only able to offer this workshop a limited number of times a year, across the state, and each workshop has a limited number of seats available. Again, please plan accordingly to maintain an active and valid certification.
