Congratulations on your recent Small Business Innovation Research / Small Business Technology Transfer (SBIR/STTR) Phase II award from the U.S. National Science Foundation (NSF)! We look forward to meeting you virtually at the SBIR/STTR Phase II Workshop – Fall 2026 on Tuesday, October 20, beginning at 11:30 a.m. through Wednesday, October 21, 2026, at 5:00 p.m. Eastern Time.

Attendance at the workshop is a requirement of your Phase II award. The Principal Investigator (PI) of the Phase II award is required to attend. * The company officer leading the commercialization of the project (if this person is not the PI) should also participate. If the PI is also leading the commercial effort, the company is welcome to send additional attendees who are deeply involved with the project and/or related commercial efforts. Please remember to block this time on all participants’ calendars.

The PI must register for the Workshop through Cvent to show that they plan to participate.

Registrants will be directed to a Check-In for Attendance Page to Join the Meeting 15 minutes prior to the start of the event. The link to this page will be available upon registration, on the Confirmation page, the Confirmation Email, and the Add to my Calendar link.

One-on-one meetings with your NSF program director will take place on Wednesday, October 21, 2026. The one-on-one meeting schedule will be distributed in early October. This meeting will be the only scheduled activity on October 21, but please block the entire day as noted above until your company’s specific meeting time is confirmed.

*If the PI is unable to attend this workshop for any reason, you must notify your NSF program director to discuss who would be an appropriate substitute. That individual should be capable of discussing the ongoing Phase II project, as well as the associated commercial efforts, during the company’s one-on-one meeting.
