Field Trips - Southwest Wings Birding and Nature Summer Festival 2026

The Southwest Wings Summer Festival 2026 will be Group Van Field Trips to more remote or less accessible locations (marked GROUP VAN) and a limited number of small-group, car-caravan style guided field trips in participants' own vehicles (marked CAR CARAVAN).

GROUP VANS will be limited to nine participants (plus guide) and will meet and depart from outside the southeast entrance of The Mall at Sierra Vista, 2200 El Mercado Loop, Sierra Vista.

A boxed lunch is provide on Group Van trips consisting of a sandwich of your choice on Wheatberry bread, whole fruit (based on availability), chips, cookies and water. Please select your choice of sandwich from the menu below the Field Trip Descriptions on this page.

CAR CARAVANS are self-drive trips and will be limited to a maximum of four cars (plus the guide's) and eight participants (plus guide), unless otherwise stated. Each car caravan will have a set meeting point and time to meet your guide. Lunch and personal water are not included. Be sure to bring plenty of your own water, and for full-day trips you will also need to bring your own lunch.
