UCCS is hosting 3 Cybersecurity Summer Camps for middle school students in 2026!

 * Two Intro Camps in June *

* One Advanced Camp in July *

Students can register for one intro camp and the advanced camp, if desired*

All camps are Monday - Friday, 9am - 3:30pm MT:

1. June 8th - 12th, 2026 (Intro)
2. June 22nd - 26th, 2026 (Intro)
3. July 13th - 17th 2026 (Advanced)

Are you a middle school student who wants to explore your interest in cybersecurity?

The week-long Intro to Cybersecurity Camps are designed to introduce middle school students to the fundamentals of cybersecurity. The curriculum includes classroom learning supplemented with many online and hands-on activities and resources that students can use both during camp and after. 

The week-long Advanced Cybersecurity Camp builds on what has been learned in the Intro Camp, to include a deeper dive into cybersecurity concepts such as ethics, cryptography, computer hardware and networking basics, cybercrime and the legal implications, and more.

Ever solved a Caesar Cypher? Picked a lock? Understood what it means to defend a network? Maybe this summer is the time!

Students will be notified of acceptance by mid-May. If you are accepted, you will be asked to register for the event immediately. At that time, a $50 non-refundable registration fee will be required to hold your spot in the camp.

THE DETAILS...

The UCCS Cybersecurity Camps for Middle School Students will be held in person on the UCCS campus at the UCCS Kevin W. O'Neil Cybersecurity Education and Research Center at 3650 N. Nevada Ave., Colorado Springs.

Each student will receive cyber camp take-away's such as t-shirts, card games, and cyber career guides for all their hard work!

Lunch is included each day -- thanks to our amazing sponsors!

Speakers in the field of cybersecurity will join us throughout the week to share real-world experiences and advice.

If you are accepted to the camp, there will be a $50 fee that will be collected at registration. This $50 constitutes the entire cost of the camp. If this fee is a hardship for your family, email cyber@uccs.edu.

*Students must have attended an Intro to Cyber Camp to attend the Advanced Camp (this summer or past summers).
