The joint CFAS – GRA – ORR Spring Meeting in Arlington, Virginia, will feature plenary sessions ranging from an examination of AI’s impact on medical education, to the residency application environment, to measures being taken to increase safety in medical schools and teaching hospitals, to the challenges faced by women of color in academic medicine.

The meeting additionally will feature a full array of wide-reaching concurrent breakouts, poster presentations, Ignite-style sessions, town hall conversations with AAMC leaders, legislative updates, and networking opportunities from beginning to end.

Who Can Attend

To register for and attend an AAMC meeting, you must be affiliated with an AAMC member institution, a non-profit medical education or professional organization, or a college or university. Please note that commercial representatives are not permitted to register for the meeting unless they are approved exhibitors or sponsors.

AAMC Health and Safety Protocol for In-Person Meetings

The AAMC continues to support vaccination for all as a way to reduce the severity of infection, and continues to believe high-quality, well-fitting masks are effective in reducing infection. While we will continue to encourage attendees to be vaccinated and wear masks in all venues, there are likely to be gatherings associated with this conference with people who may not have been vaccinated and we recognize that mask wearing is now optional. Moreover, there have been reported instances of transmission of the COVID-19 virus even among vaccinated people who are not wearing masks (for example, while eating and drinking.) For this reason, attendees should consider and determine for themselves whether they are comfortable with the risks associated with different events (e.g., indoor vs. outdoor, masked vs. unmasked, AAMC-controlled vs. public space).
