Virtual Forums

These sessions will cover a wide range of topics related to the intersection of labor and climate activism. They are intended to deepen our understanding of some of the ways MTA and its members can work with others to fight the worst impacts of global warming.  These inspiring hour-long zoom sessions are free and open to all MTA members.  Members can participate in any or all of these sessions.

Book Study

Want to teach climate change in your classroom but unsure where to start? Join the MTA Climate Action Task Force to explore and discuss “What Teachers Want to Know About Teaching Climate Change: An Educator’s Guide to Nurturing Hope and Resilience.” Over the course of four Zoom sessions, we’ll consider major misconceptions around teaching climate, plan for obstacles, address climate anxiety, and apply concepts from this 2025 text in our work.

Participants who attend all the sessions and complete all of the work outlined for this study will receive 11 PDP credits.
