Co-Teaching PD Event Description: Teachers are invited to participate in an optional summer book study and PD session designed to build shared understanding and practical strategies for co-teaching. Participants will read from multiple co-teaching texts connected to special education, multilingual learners, dual language, and collaborative planning. The study is intended to honor participants’ varied experiences while supporting a common foundation for effective co-teaching partnerships, intentional co-planning, and inclusive instruction. Teachers may earn up to 6 clock hours.

Objectives:

  • Develop a shared understanding of effective co-teaching models and how they can be used to support student engagement, access, and growth.
  • Explore strategies for collaborative planning that make instruction more intentional, efficient, and responsive to student needs.
