When and where is CGP Conference?

CGP Conference will be held in New Orleans, at the New Orleans Marriott from Wednesday, October 14 to Friday, October 16. Explore the schedule at a glance to start planning your trip.

Who attends CGP Conference?

Estate Administrators, Gift Planners; Major Gift Officer or Development Professional; Allied Professionals, Financial Planners and/or Wealth Advisors; Managers or Supervisors of Gift Planners; Consultants; and other professions who promote the success of the gift planning and philanthropic community.

What are Wednesday Workshops?

Wednesday Workshops offer additional opportunities for attendees to gain new strategies and insights from experts.

Each workshop requires an additional fee, which can be added during registration. Already registered attendees may add a program by modifying their registration with their confirmation number.

Workshops will be held on October 14. We recommend arriving on Tuesday evening to ensure that you arrive on time and are settled by the start of the workshop.

Do you offer group discounts?

A group discount is available for organizations registering more than 10 attendees.

What is the refund/cancellation policy?

Cancellations will be processed for a $50 administrative fee until September 25, 2026, at 11:59 p.m. ET. Registrants may cancel via a link in the confirmation email.

What is the dress code?

The attire is business casual. Wear what is most comfortable: slacks, polo shirts, sweaters, blazers, blouses, and, most importantly, comfortable shoes. We recommend that you dress in layers, as temperatures in meeting rooms can vary.

Fall weather can range from a sunny, warm day to a colder day requiring a warm jacket. Check the weather before your travel to ensure you're packed appropriately.

How can I book a hotel room?

New Orleans Marriott is the center of the conference action. New Orleans Marriott is offering CGP Conference Attendees an exclusive rate until September 25 (or until sold out).  CGP Conference Rate: $265 (plus applicable taxes)

Based on availability, a group rate will be offered three days before and three days following the conference dates.

Are continuing education credits available for conference sessions? 

All breakout sessions are expected to be approved for CFRE, CAP and CSPG credit, and selected sessions may be approved for CFP credit. 

Attendees may submit session information to their state authority to request CLE credit.

A certificate of attendance will be provided to all attendees to be submitted with CE requests.

May I bring family or colleagues with me?

Certainly. However, only individuals who have registered for the conference will be permitted to attend conference functions and meals.

What is the event cancellation policy?

CGP reserves the right to cancel an event due to low enrollment or other circumstances which would make the event non-viable. If CGP cancels an event, registrants will be offered a full refund. Should circumstances arise that result in the postponement of an event, CGP has the right to either issue a full refund or transfer registration to the same event at the new, future date. CGP will not be responsible for reimbursement of any participant’s expenses related to the cancellation or postponement of an event.

When I arrive at the event, do I need to officially check in?

Yes. Be sure to check in at the registration to receive your name badge and any additional materials.

What are your safety protocols?

CGP Conference is committed to providing a safe and healthy environment for all participants. Our policies and decisions are guided by recommendations set forth by industry health & safety measures recommended by U.S. Centers for Disease Control (CDC) and federal, state and local health authorities. We continue to monitor any changes in the regulations and items will be amended to ensure continued compliance of said regulations.

CGP will adhere to all official government and local authority guidance, as well as any venue or location-specific regulations.

CGP cannot provide specific risk levels for event activities. It is important to consider your own personal situation and the risk to you, other attendees and staff before participating.
