• The steps that should be taken once a delinquent loan is placed with a law firm for collection;

• Examples of best practices when communicating with a member concerning amounts owed;

• Review of what documents are sent to a member upon default and when;

• How a lawsuit is filed with an applicable jurisdiction, and

• The fundamentals of Chapter 7 and Chapter 13 filings;

• The impact bankruptcy has on the credit union’s loan servicing and collection actions;

• How to identify key issues and respond appropriately to member inquiries; and

• Real-world examples and straightforward guidance to ensure attendees leave with confidence to navigate bankruptcy situations accurately while maintaining a member-focused approach.
