Beckwith Electric
Protection & Control Seminar
July 27 - 30, 2026
Opal Sands Resort
Clearwater Beach, Florida
Join us for the 29th Annual Beckwith Protection & Control Seminar
The four-day Protection & Control Seminar encompasses comprehensive discussions on the protection of power plant assets and the protection, control, and power quality monitoring of electric power distribution systems. This event is a hub for education, collaboration, and networking, delving into the intricate technical facets of protection and control strategies.
The seminar is tailored for engineers, consultants, managers, and technicians from utilities, integrators, packagers, and OEMs, as well as other professionals involved in designing, engineering, maintaining, and testing protective systems, voltage/VAR control systems, and FLISR schemes. It is also ideal for relay technicians and those in charge of testing and commissioning, who are particularly encouraged to participate in our Testing Lab Breakout Sessions.
3 Seminar Tracks
To ensure you benefit from the most relevant and valuable educational programs, the Protection & Control Seminar offers three distinct program tracks. Participants will select one track and follow it for the duration of the seminar.
Distribution Protection Track
The Distribution Protection Track caters to those requiring a thorough knowledge of protection, control, and power quality monitoring of electric power distribution systems, including strategies to address challenges arising from the significant presence of Distributed Energy Resources (DER).
Earn up to 3.0 CEUs or 30 PDHs

Power Plant Protection Track
The Power Plant Protection Track is suited for individuals engaged in safeguarding power plant assets across utility, cogeneration, and heavy industrial settings, or those seeking an in-depth understanding of the topic.
Earn up to 3.0 CEUs or 30 PDHs

Voltage Regulation & Power Quality Track
The Voltage Regulation & Power Quality Track offers sessions tailored for distribution planners, standards engineers specializing in capacitors and regulators, and engineers and technicians in controls and power quality engineering. Also appropriate for personnel responsible for implementing applications, including VVO, CVR and DER integration.
Earn up to 2.4 CEUs or 24 PDHs

The Beckwith Seminar will be held at the Opal Sands Resort in Clearwater Beach, Florida.
Opal Sands is a full-service waterfront resort within easy walking distance of the Clearwater Beach Walk’s shops and restaurants, with direct access to the white sand of Clearwater Beach. It’s also conveniently located one mile from its sister property, the Sandpearl Resort, where the Beckwith Seminar was held for over a decade.
Each attendee will enjoy daily breakfast and lunch, and have the chance to engage with expert instructors in a relaxed classroom setting and during evening receptions. We encourage participant interaction to leverage the collective knowledge and experiences of the group. There will also be opportunities to explore needs-based case studies and examples throughout the seminar.
