Dr. Vas Srinivasan
Dr. Srinivasan is a specialist orthodontist with international training and a calm, precision-led approach to care. His interest in the field began with his own braces journey and grew into a career shaped by science and detail. After completing his dental degree in Chennai, he pursued advanced studies in the United States and specialist orthodontic training at the University of Sydney, earning a merit scholarship and later membership with the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh. He also guided the design of Invisible Orthodontics expanded, digitally driven premises, built to elevate the patient experience. Known for his steady, thoughtful manner, he focuses on helping patients feel informed and confident throughout their treatment.

Course Outline
Build a strong foundation in digital orthodontic workflows - from diagnosis and treatment planning to efficient clinical execution - while understanding how to optimise outcomes across aligners and fixed appliances with both indirect and direct bonding techniques. With in-clinic demonstration on bracket bonding and aligner protocols to enhance precision, efficiency, and clinical outcomes.
Apply advanced biomechanics and digital treatment principles in practice. Complement this with advanced aligner application โ with live treatment planning software demonstration, integrating digital planning, critically evaluating setups, and minimising refinements while setting realistic expectations for predictable, high-quality results.
Course Suitable for Orthodontists, General Dentists and Support Staff.
Learning Outcomes
Day 1 Digital Orthodontic Workflow Foundation
- Core components of a digital orthodontic workflow, appliance design, and delivery.
- Explain the role of intraoral scanning, digital records, and CBCT in contemporary orthodontic diagnosis and case assessment.
- Identify indications of digital orthodontic solutions across a range of malocclusions and patient demographics.
- Treatment planning
- Communicate digital treatment concepts clearly to patients, reinforcing compliance and engagement.
- Collaborate effectively within the dental team to implement digital orthodontics in a coordinated and efficient manner.
- Assess how digital orthodontics impacts practice workflows, appointment scheduling, delegation, and team responsibilities.
- Align digital orthodontic workflows with broader practice objectives, including efficiency, predictability, and patient experience.
- Workflows: Efficient scheduling, clinical delegation, inventory management
- Apply digital orthodontic principles to alignerโbased and fixed appliance systems, understanding where each modality is most effective.
- Maintaining efficient digital workflows, from patient management through treatment monitoring.
- Comparative benefits of aligners and brackets
- Torque, Tip, Rotations, Ins & Outs, Extrusion/Intrusion Distalisation/Mesialisation
- Advanced strategies for case management โ Transversal & crowding.
- Transversal development. Clinical implications in cross bites corrections
- How to create space: Achieving the necessary space with both options to correct extremely crowded cases: Torque, Posterior Verticalization, IPR, Extractions
- Case studies and practical examples
Day 2a, PSL Braces (direct & indirect)
- Perform a structured diagnosis and treatment planning process
- Understand core orthodontic biomechanics relevant to bracket systems
- Explain the fundamental principles of PSL systems, including Damon and Ultima
- Understand torque selection and torque expression in fixed appliances
- Apply torque coupling concepts to control tooth movement
- Apply principles of arch development to improve alignment and stability
- Perform effective bonding protocols for fixed appliances
Day 2b, Clinical Application of Aligners
- Integrate digital diagnostic tools into orthodontic treatment planning, aligning biomechanical objectives with digital setups.
- Evaluate digital treatment plans critically, including staging, attachments, auxiliaries, and finishing considerations.
- Recognise common sources of error in digital planning and execution and implement strategies to minimise refinements and inefficiencies.
- Set realistic expectations regarding treatment outcomes, timelines, and limitations of digital orthodontic systems.
