Advancing PBS: From expert-driven to experience-led

The 2026 Bild International Positive Behaviour Support Conference will spotlight the continued evolution of Positive Behaviour Support (PBS), reaffirming the vital role of coproduction and truly person-led support. This two-day event will feature a varied programme of keynote presentations from international speakers including Practice Leaders, experts by experience, professionals and academics, exploring recent progress in embedding trauma-informed, relational, and neuro-affirmative practice across services.

Sessions will explore both Tier 1 and Tier 2 support, with a strong focus on the importance of capable, supportive environments in enabling meaningful outcomes.

Bild is delighted to relaunch the Centre for the Advancement of Positive Behaviour Support (CAPBS) at this year’s conference, strengthening our commitment to a person-led, relational approach across all PBS work.

There will also be a range of workshops available to attend, giving delegates tools and ideas to put into practice. The workshops will also provide opportunities for debate, conversation and networking.

The conference will be of interest to practitioners in health, social care and education settings looking to deepen their understanding of PBS as a framework for good support and to learn from the lived experience of people who have benefitted from coproduced methodologies. People with lived experience are warmly welcomed.

Bild members can access an exclusive Early Bird discount until 27 February. Find out more about Bild membership here.

As the conference emphasises: PBS is not a technique, but a framework for good support for everyone - grounded in rights, relationships, reflection, and real-life outcomes.
