Introduction to the National Environment Protection (Assessment of Site Contamination) Measure 1999

TheNational Environment Protection (Assessment of Site Contamination) Measure 1999 (the ASC NEPM)as amended in 2013 is made under theNational Environment Protection Council Act 1994(Cth)  and is given effect by individual legislation and guidelines in each  state and territory. The ASC NEPM establishes a nationally consistent  approach to the assessment of site contamination and provides the  recommended general process and guidance for the assessment of site  contamination that should be conducted by professionals.

This  webinar will provide an introductory overview of the ASC NEPM. The  webinar will focus more on a review of key schedules that cover the  majority of the day-to-day work of young professionals: Schedule B1 that  establishes investigation levels for soil, groundwater; and Schedule B  that cover site investigations.
