This is a hybrid event to be held at the auditorium at Schneider’s office with a small group of on-site audience and a larger one online. In-person attendance is open exclusively to Chamber members only and on a first-come, first-served basis.

As the Assistant Chief Executive (Manufacturing & Engineering) of Enterprise Singapore, Leng Wan leads various teams to champion enterprise growth in Singapore’s manufacturing and engineering industries.

Prior to this, Leng Wan spent seven years in the Ministry of Trade and Industry. As the Senior Director (Industry Division) between 2017 and 2021, he led his team to formulate policies and initiatives to ensure the competitiveness of the Singapore economy as well as the vibrancy of Singapore as a global city and tourism destination. His teams worked closely with the Economic Development Board to anchor significant foreign investments in Singapore’s manufacturing sector, as well as with the Singapore Tourism Board and Sentosa Development Corporation to develop iconic tourism projects in Singapore. Between 2006 and 2009, he was Deputy Director (Resource Division) where he led his team to develop manpower initiatives to support enterprises to meet their labour and talent needs.

Land use and economics have a strong nexus in land-scarce Singapore. Between 2012 and 2017, Leng Wan was Senior Director (Strategic Planning) in the Ministry of National Development in charge of reviewing Singapore’s land use plans and development strategies. Some of the notable publicly accessible projects include the Singapore Land Use Plan (2013), Master Plan 2014, the Singapore Sustainable Blueprint (2015), and the Future City Sub-Committee Report (2016) under the auspices of the Committee on the Future Economy.

Leng Wan had also served in various portfolios dealing with public policy formulation in the Ministry of Defence and the then-Ministry of Community Development, Youth and Sports.

Leng Wan has a Masters of Science (Civil Engineering) from the University of California, Berkeley and a Bachelor of Science (Honours) degree in Civil Engineering from the National University of Singapore.

Ms. Lydia Lim has been working in the fields of sustainable urban development, climate adaptation, resilience and water management for the past 18 years. Currently in JTC as deputy director of Sustainability, she supports the sustainability transformation, decarbonization strategy and roadmap implementation within JTC, WOG and industry. Using innovation as an enabler, her sustainability R&D portfolio covers areas such as new materials, sustainable cooling, smart building controls & renewables. She has worked for more than 10 years in the industry and has worked for a few years in the academic sector. She sees excellent opportunities for government, industry and academia to combine forces for sustainability impact.

Mr. Anthony Loy joined Schneider Electric in 2013 with a background in the Automotive Industry and Management Consulting. With 10+ years experience in lean manufacturing, operations transformation and management, he engaged with passion in digital transformation.

Since 2017 Anthony had been leading Schneider Electric Smart Factory program, a value driven transformation of Schneider Electric factories across five geographies, leveraging a full blend of IIoT and Industry 4.0 solutions.

In his current portfolio, Anthony is shaping the Schneider Electric Ecosystem of Suppliers and Customers Smart and Sustainable transformation where he leverage on the organisation’s Global Supply Chain transformation competencies.

Through the years of Anthony’s leadership, Schneider Electric has achieved many industry recognitions such as :

Mr. Thomas Chhoa is a Senior Advisor at the Alliance to End Plastic Waste. In that role, he provides advice to the Senior Leadership Team and also heads up its Singapore unit to collaborate and support local stakeholders and entities to achieve its mission in Singapore and internationally.

Prior to joining the Alliance, Thomas had a long-standing career in Shell, and had several international assignments across the world including Saudi Arabia, Hong Kong, China, Australia, Qatar and Singapore. He has worked in different fields including engineering and technology, project and business development, venture set-up, and global business leadership. After nearly 35 years in Shell, he retired in 2016.

Post retirement, he was a Senior Advisor at Economic Development Innovations Singapore. He is an Adjunct Associate Professor at the Nanyang Technological University, part-time lecturing there as well as the Singapore Management University. Thomas has been a board member of Shell Eastern Trading (Pte.) Ltd. He is currently a board and executive committee member of Singapore LNG Corporation.
