THE 27TH ANNUAL MASSACHUSETTS ADULT IMMUNIZATION CONFERENCE

Organized by the Massachusetts Adult Immunization Coalition (MAIC), this event is one of the largest Adult Immunization activities in the Commonwealth. The overall goal is to educate Massachusetts healthcare professionals on current best practices for adult immunizations. The 2022 conference offers an opportunity to receive the most updated information on routine adult immunization from leading experts in the field, and network with immunization experts and colleagues.  

This year's conference theme '2022: Trials, Transitions, & Triumphs,' recognizes the difficulties encountered when vaccinating adults during the COVID-19 pandemic; acknowledges the adaptations adult vaccine providers have made; and celebrates all which has been accomplished since the pandemic's early days.

• Identify the latest Advisory Committee on Immunization (ACIP) recommendations for routine adult vaccinations, including COVID-19 vaccine
• Examine safety of vaccination during pregnancy using examples from past and present pandemics
• Identify communication strategies to disseminate accurate information about vaccine safety and efficacy

TARGET AUDIENCE : Healthcare professionals who provide, facilitate, and support the immunization of adults in Massachusetts. Physicians, physician assistants, nurse practitioners, nurses, pharmacists, medical assistants, allied health professionals, public health workers, and community health workers.
