Working Towards a
Brighter Future Down the Road!
The California Department of Health Care Services (DHCS) is excited to host the annual statewide Substance Use Disorder (SUD) Integrated Care Conference from August 15 - 17, 2023, at the Hyatt Regency in Long Beach, California.
This year's conference is another opportunity for the behavioral health, treatment, and recovery workforce to network and learn about important and emerging issues and trends, and program outcomes in SUD prevention.
CONFERENCE GOALS
The Conference aims to achieve the following goals:
1. Showcase SUD Service Delivery Systems that Advance the Goals of California Advancing and Innovating Medi-Cal (CalAIM). Improving quality outcomes, coordination and communication across systems, reducing health disparities and managing comprehensive needs through whole person approaches.
2. Focus on Community Change and Solutions that Address the Opioid Epidemic. Provide resources regarding the effective implementation of programs serving persons with or at risk of developing an Opioid Use Disorder.
3. Highlight Promising, Evidence-based and Community-defined Evidence Practices. Present promising practices, technologies, proven approaches, and successes for instituting systemic, programmatic, policy, and individual change to improve services.
4. Provide Training Opportunities. Share knowledge that builds field capacity to work with vulnerable, underserved, and under resourced individuals and communities such as foster youth, justice-impacted and homeless persons.
5. Support Workforce Development. Share information on best practices for recruitment, retention, and training the behavioral health workforce.
