This 12-part monthly webinar and coaching series is designed to strengthen facility MDS teams with practical, hands-on lessons in coding accuracy, documentation, and PDPM proficiency. Each session tackles a high-impact topic—ranging from mastering GG and self-care/mobility items, rooting out common coding errors, ICD-10 sequencing, and care planning, to understanding the financial impact of MDS on reimbursement, quality measures, and survey readiness. Move your clinical reimbursement squad toward next level performance--join us for Team MDS!

Course Description:

This session explores how effective interdisciplinary meetings and report utilization drive MDS accuracy, PDPM reimbursement, and Quality Measure (QM) performance within the facility’s QAPI framework. Participants will learn how to structure and lead productive MDS, Medicare, and QAPI meetings that use real-time data and reports to strengthen communication, identify trends, and support compliance. The discussion includes best practices for using MDS validation, PDPM, and QM reports to guide decision-making, prioritize action items, and sustain continuous quality improvement across clinical and financial outcomes.

Learning Objectives

At the end of this session, participants will be able to:

1. Describe how interdisciplinary meetings and reporting processes support accurate MDS completion and PDPM reimbursement.

2. Identify essential reports that should be reviewed in MDS, Medicare, and QAPI meetings to monitor outcomes and compliance.

3. Integrate Quality Measure (QM) and PDPM data into QAPI processes for ongoing performance monitoring and improvement.

4. Apply structured communication systems to improve team accountability, documentation consistency, and quality outcomes.
