About Explorations
Grades 7-9 | March 4-8, 2026
Explorations empowers students to explore their distinct perspectives and experiences and share those gifts with the world. Through this immersive, week-long program at Fort Worden, students are introduced to the world of arts and ideas, creative risk-taking, and personal development. This unique learning environment challenges the mind and body in equal measure.
Students delve into four art forms during their week on campus, selected based on their interests and preferences. In addition, opportunities for exploration and sharing during free time and evening activities serve as inspiration and opportunities for growth in our highly supportive and fun environment. From karaoke night to dorm wing dance parties, participants will return with a new sense of self and community. The week culminates with a collaborative showcase where all students' creativity and learning are celebrated for family and friends.

Chaperones:
We are actively recruiting chaperon volunteers! Chaperones will work closely with teaching artist, and support student learning. Room and board are included! Complete the chaperone application here.
